Hello. I have a 1938 Jeff Nickel here. There appear to be doubling in Liberty and Year. On the reverse the Monticello is in pretty good condition for this year as far as detail although the steps are there but are mostly full on both sides of the steps except middle. I think for this year details are remarkable. What is your opinion. Does it carry any value. Honest comments please. Thanks.
Pics are a bit too close. Not seeing a DDO,what attribution number do you think it might be? Here is a link on grading https://www.PCGS.com/photograde/ John1
Here is an interesting point on the Variety Vista Site: http://www.varietyvista.com/04a%20J...s%201938.htm Note where most of the doubled dies are located on their site? Now note where you are looking. Do you see a match for where you are looking? Note the spread area is on the bottoms of the devices.
