Hello everyone. Found this odd-looking zinc 1993 D which I can't really identify. Either a bad planchet, Dryer Coin or someone heated the heck out of it. All the characters script appears expanded, the memorial columns are expanded as well and the rim on the obverse and reverse is dark. Hopefully someone can ID this so let me know. Thanks & Regards.

I've seen a few of these (various years) in the past. I'm thinking early stage Dryer Coin.

To me it looks like the coin was Flattened leaving the devices looking enlarged. If it were squeezed even more, then it might have been a " Texas Cent" with the plating falling off of the coin. But I guess they were going for that? Most times to keep the devices from altering, they use two pieces of leather, like from an old belt and would put a layer on each side of the coin, then tighten down the vise.
