Thought my 1982 Lincoln Cent looks a little like Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

?

The cent has Abraham Lincoln Cent has Abraham Lincoln on it and the movie poster has has a figure of Abraham Lincoln on it. They are supposed to be the same person.

Personally I think President Lincoln would be rolling over in his grave about the latter. Just saying.

The suspension of reality and the use of our imagination is what truly sets us apart from all lesser forms of intelligent life. Our ability infer patterns, draw inference and project possibilities puts homo-sapiens at the apex of the intelligence pyramid. The images of Lincoln, Washington, Kennedy, etc,. on our coinage and stamps is first and foremost iconic and artistic representations.

I shudder to think Honest Abe would be offended by being compared to a fictional character after having visited Antietam in 1862. They were clearly made of stronger stuff than most of us are today.

BTW: A play at Ford Theater was the last thing Lincoln ever saw. Our American Cousin was fanciful comic spoof.

Sorry but no. We're not going to waste gigabytes of image space on damaged coins.
