I found a Cud on the back side and either DDO or deteriorated letters. In the word trust. Any thoughts please.

I see a die chip on the wheat stalk, some circulation damage and general Die Deterioration.

Not a Cud, it is a Die Chip. Die Deterioration on the letters.

Die Chip Definition: A small piece (less than 4 square millimeters) that falls out of the die face and has no direct connection to the design rim.
Definition: A Cud is a die break that involves the rim and at least a little bit of the adjacent field or design.

A die chip is a die event that usually doesn't retire the die.
1955-Wheat-Penny-Error.
A rim Cud is not a die ending event:

A Die Cud is one that ends the life of the dies use.

On a die/rim Cud, the affected area will rise higher than the normal devices. Why? Because when the die breaks away, the die now has a void. When the next coin is struck the void will be filled and be taller than all other devices:
1955-Wheat-Penny-Error.
The opposite side will also show weakness, where the void is, because there is no pressure exerted on the opposite die. Thus look for the weakness of the design on the opposite side of the coin.
