Edit: corrected to 36A, nice partial E clash!!

MS62 +/- 63. Obverse is a little rough. Reverse a little better.

Let me provide this "closeup" of the bottom reverse. Quality is lacking a little. I hope I'm not imagining things...

Unfortunately Adam I see what looks like that pesky die chip in the ear. I cherry picked one several years ago that didn't (appear to) have this feature. Got it in hand and there it was. One distinct difference between the 22A and 36A is the 22A obverse has been polished down and quite obvious at the designers initial and lower hair curls. This one is an EDS 36A.  MS62ish

Ah, you're right on, Dave, I can't see the ear photos well enough. I thought 36A had a much more extensive die clash under the IBUS though but it's hard to tell with my "older man" eyesight. I don't see the polishing on the obverse, thanks for reminding me about that!

Yep, that's exactly what I posted on the VAM topic a few minutes ago. The clash marks above the cap particularly off the right wheat stalk are not obvious at all in these images. I almost called this a VAM-0 had I not studied it further. There are '83-O die pairings that have next to nothing to identify them. I still have a couple of 83-O's I'm not sure about.

Yes nice early die state 36A which seems to be tougher to find than later states . I have a late die state 64+ I picked but need to find a nice earlier state. I am at MS-62 on this one.

As typical, reverse is much cleaner than the obverse. A better MS-62, maybe 63 to me

this is a real bummer with that obverse. normally you see weak strikes on the 83(O) this one is above average. the reverse is a good MS64 but the obverse is going to drop the grade on this one quite a bit. the obverse looks to be MS61. the question is how do they net this one out. it could grade MS62 or 63. I just dont think the reverse is enough to pull it up to a 63 so I'm at MS62 maybe 62+. tough call

The package showed up in the mail yesterday, but work has been crazy this week and I haven't opened it, yet. Hope to find some time in between Honey-Do chores tomorrow for an in-depth look.
