Are these just bad punches on this one? The L looks like it refused to be punched and the N looks like it wanted to pull out of the coin all together! Lol!

@Spence Your right. I've seen alot especially the L's in Liberty on the older copper coins but none were ever as extreme like this one.

'Punching' translates to strike, or struck.

Yes, tired die with a good dose of circulation wear and dings.
