It seems someone thought they could peel a Lincoln like a cucumber. I haven't seen this in any book yet, but I know some of you have. So, what gives? supposedly came from an obw roll but I don't think so.

Looks like a slight lamination that has been peeled back.
I think it would be pretty hard to peel a solid area like that.

I'm changing gears, JimmyD made me look closer. You can actually see the lam go rim to rim. It runs in between TR of TRUST all the way past the date. PSD caused the peel but is a lam. Good eye, JimmyD and nice find, grospoisson.
