Without seeing them or knowing the grade range I think it would be very hard to give you a value. John1

Agree. If you could show us pics of a few keys ( say 1909-S, 1914-D and 1931-S) we might be able to give you more information. Also, do you have the 1955/1955? to the CCF!

If they are all circulated then $1300 would be too much .But if they are AU to UNC. then your fathers value might be right on, we really need photos of the keys and semi-keys for proper evaluation .

Sharp and large photos would be fun to view. You collection is somewhat (somewhat...) typical of 1909-1958 Whitman folder sets. Is yours in a Whitman folder?

Sounds to me like $1,300 is too high.

Yeah out of the park. My set was lacking 09-s and 09-s vdb. All the coins were in fine and up but only 1/3 of the value you are talking about .For your collection to have some big bucks you have to have high grade coins in the collection. I found a lot of them in really nice shape through out the years. It just takes forever to amass a great collection. After getting a great collection together it is really hard to part with it over some bucks. Enjoy your collections while you have them.

Much too high, Now if that 1909-S had the VDB, maybe.

If the 09-s and the 31-s are indicative of the remaining pennies, then $100 to $125 bucks max

Not sure what kind of folder they are in but a folder nun the less my father has 5 of these books a total of 3 that are similar to the one I've been talking about but the other 2 include the 1909 vbds and he put his best coins in these 2 books but have not had a chance to go through them with a microscope yet those 2 books will be fun to view I hope. Thanks for all of the comments and options they are appropriated

Based on my own knowledge and a little looking at completed auctions on ebay, I would value a circulated Lincoln wheat set missing just the 09-S VDB in the $400 range. Could go a little higher or lower depending on the condition of specific coins. If he has a complete set that includes the circulated 09-S VDB, then I would say that pushes the value up over $1000, possibly to his $1300 number depending on the condition of the 09-S VDB.

Nice for an average set minus the 09-Svdb (note, I never include the 1922 "plain" in the official set of complete Lincoln's). I know how hard it is to track down good specimens for my set (still without the 09-Svdb yet) since I am challenging myself on getting the complete partial set from 1909 to 1939 in a VF-20 or higher, so far I have all of them in that condition or higher.
