This was a fun find as this is a pretty strong "slant" DDR. It's curious that DDR-001 is different from WDDR-001 and neither lists the others listing, if that makes sense. Also Coppercoins doesn't list any of the slants. I would like info on to why this is if anyone knows.

congratulations on your slant doubled die

as for VV and doubled die .com being different, I think it is because no one has submitted the coins to both websites.

for one of the website to list a variety, they must have it in hand to authenticate.

just guessing here...

I always thought those were a die dent not a DDR?

Thanks CCF!

Yes John1, it does resemble a die dent but there are 4 of these DDR's listed (3 in 1969 and 1 in 1972) which makes a die dent in these specific locations with these characteristics seem unlikely. I'm sure the pros have another way to determine DDR's also.

The bays are the outside edges of the die. So a contact mark on the die from another die, will dent the surface of the fields (including the bays) On the Single squeeze dies this can happen as a DDR. But not on this year. Two different die creation processes. That is why Coppercoins don't list then on that year. (considered by them to be a die dent, not a hub issue)

Thanks Coop, I figured CC made some kind of decision like that to not list these.
