I am still filling holes for my girls ATB Album. After finding the best for the books and maps, I am always looking for varieties & errors in the mix.
I am not a big chip guy, but this one seemed unique.
Listed on COC as DC-25c-2016P (CGNP). Referenced under interior die breaks.
I think I'll save this one.

That is kinda fun—looks a bit like he got caught in a snowstorm. Nice find!

Also the obverse devices are showing heavy polishing making the devices look smaller. Just a chippy coin.

Uncommon enough to get a listing. If all the die chips got listed, there would be millions.
Just thought I would share it here since it is an attributed error or die event COC determined worthy to add to their list. Otherwise I would have just thrown it back.
In the future I will first determine the rarity of an error before I put up an example that is "just" a common coin.

I would to have a few more shots of the die wear on the incuse devices on the outer ring on the reverse. It is showing the type of die wear/machine doubling that occurs on worn raised on the dies devices. I could use these for my educational image files.

Coop, as per your request, I submit the images desired. I hope they help.
While preparing them, I noticed the die misalignment. The narrow side of the misalignment corresponds to the area of the chipped die and the wear on the incuse devices associated in the same area. The incuse devices opposite (the wider side of the MAD) seem less affected.
Are the two events related? Like a tilted misaligned die?
I hope these images fulfill your request.

Looks like a slight MAD, but not enough to warrant a premium.Thanks. Those are perfect. More of an educational piece.
