While coin roll hunting Lincoln Cents, I found this 1943 Steel Cent that appeared to be the 1943 Bronze Cent. I don't know about you and how you might have felt for the first few seconds. I thought for a second I hit the jackpot, until a magnet sucked up to it. I didn't put the scratch marks on the coin. Who ever had it before must have. That isn't a smart way to check what could have been a very exensive coin. Oh Well it was fun for a second. UGH! The highs and lows of CRH. LOL

If it were the real deal, why would you see zinc residue spots on a copper coin? Also the weights are different.

I admit I don;t get excited anymore by something like this. I assume its just another one of "those things," and have not been disappointed yet :(

Coop your eyesight must be awesome, when one pulls a coin out of a roll I don't think tiny steel marks one see right away when they find a 1943 Bronze looking coin, The first check I did was a magnet and didn't have to look any further. Come on man!
