The Silver Searcher Pillar of the Community United States 1388 Posts	Posted 06/20/2022 6:12 pm Hey all, When roll searching cents, finding scratched and damaged memorials isn't hard at all. Pennies get beat up. This one has a gouge by the date, but I realized the date looks like it's struck over the gouge. Could this be a planchet error? Pics are below! Lamination is the loosening of the cold rolled piece onto the stock metal that is almost ready to come off the planchet stock. The weight will be slightly lower on this coin.
