This is a interesting error and I would like to share.
This penny has a heavy die clash on the obverse which shows the columns from the Lincoln Memorial . There is a similar coin mentioned on Couch Collectibles .

Looks like a strong unabraded die clash.

Great find on a nice looking 1983 cent!

I agree with all the above.

Especially nice being unabraded.

I'll also add that it is probably listed as an "Atypical" clash since it appears to have been clashed twice.

yes, a doublt clash is what it looks like to me as well - what is interesting to me is the rotated reverse die by a few degrees on the first clash, then another degree turn for the second.

On the 1983/84 cents there dies went through a lot of die clashes those years.
Don't open the full images from this link on a cell phone. It will take too long and you will not be able to see the images as clear on a phone.

Seem to me way over graded because of the extreme die polishing of the dies?

But when you see this happening a lot on graded coins, you know that this was a problem those years.

Nice clash!

YouTube is a dangerous place to go looking for information on coins as it's highly saturated with false info, so you've done wisely to share your cent here for validation and education.

I added a few new pictures with lower light. It more clearly shows the clash and the true coin color.

Is the "Die Clash" on the obverse, part of the Memorial building from the reverse?
