This is my first Barber dime.

I violated one of my own rules by not researching first but I felt like spending some $$ and I somewhat trusted the LCS I visited which was not close to home. It is in a non major TPG slab.

Your grade opinions are requested and should I break it out (ICG) ? Thanks

I'm not the best with Dime grading, so take my answer with a pinch of salt, but it seems about AU58 to me.

I'm by no way a Barber dime expert, but on the reverse to the left of the O and D sure does look like somebody tried to "erase", and then the way the crud is inside the M looks to me like somebody tried cleaning and just couldn't get that area cleaned out. I'd be interested myself to hear what some of the real experts on Barber dimes have to say about those areas on the reverse.

I'm with a mid to high AU grade as well. Looks like a small amount of rub plus the dirt in Liberty and on the reverse of M suggests it has seen some circulation. I would guess that it is somewhere in the $80 range. I wouldn't hesitate busting it out for a type set or album if I had to, but that is just my opinion.

AU58 for me. Slight wear in the hair and chatter in the fields say circulated. If that's correct I'm thinking LCS price was around $90. In my experience some tiny bits of black crud aren't unusual.

to me the coin looks like its been acetoned leaving some dirt in the crevices. MS62 or AU58... I have to go with AU58
Rest in Peace

Nice luster and no apparent wear, but the dirt and circulation marks in the fields make me lean towards AU-58.
