Given the photos posted, I believe you have a large date.D. Do a google image search on 'cent 1982 d small date' and look closely at the pics.

This 1982-D cent is within Weight Tolerance of a type 1, 95% copper, and is a large date.

When you look at the '2' unside down, the '2' looks more like a '7' on the large date. On the small date it doesn't look like a '7'.

Also the location of the '2' are different as well.
