i have this 1953 S penny I was wanting to know if it a clipped penny I was reading upb on an article one of you shared with me it is supposed to fade into itself so I realy would like to know before I put it in the spend cup

@pris, with a edge clip, the rim itself will be diminished or missing. You have a cent with a rim bruise here instead.

Looks like someone took out their rage on this penny...maybe it got lost and then they found it.

Just one of the numerous dents on the rim of that coin.
As Spence stated, the rim would have to be at least partially
missing in order for it to be a clip.

Note the rim was flattened on that area. Note the straight area of the rim. The coin was damaged post strike. Just a Wheat cent now.
