Hello can you please let me know if this is something you have seen before?
I found this coin with a mark a circle marking too perfect, this condition gives the coin letter a bumpy top.
Any ideas? Thank you.

The coin looks like it has seen lots of vending machine service. The lines cut into devices may be damage from the inner works of a coin accepter on a vending machine. The surfaces, too could be showing damage from repeated contact with other coins.

No a mint error of any kind, just lots of use over the last 42 years.

I agree with @yoko, but would only add that the filled in mintmark might be a sign of this coin being struck from a die with a broken post.

I feel it is not a premium coin. While the one area looks like copper showing through. But the condition would remove any question of value.
