2001 P 1c In-Collar Flipover Double Strike

CoinHI Pillar of the Community United States 2731 Posts	Posted 08/23/2022 5:32 pm I was excited to spot this coin listed as a "Die Clash Prison Cent". The orientation of the second strike does make it look like a prison cent and adds to the appeal of this double strike I'd say. The condition is not what I was hoping for though, so at $120 It was probably a fair trade. I was looking forward to photographing this type of error but I think a copper version would have been a whole lot easier (and more expensive;). I have seen these errors on 1999 and 2000 but none on a 2001 so maybe it is more rare in that regard? The date on reverse is slightly visible in the NW corner of the memorial FYI. Is rare kind of Die clash. And also this it is an MS coin. PS: Holly Cat it is the new replacement of the expression Holly Cow because in States you could be accused of sexist like in Canada.
