Love to hear your opinion and it shall amuse me before PCGS does. Does this coin look to be aesthetically pleasing, or should it be kept under the stairs

Better yet should I send this off for PCGS grading?
What would you score this coin?

No way I would send that in for grading, under the stairs she goes.

This is a circulated coin, unattractive toning, glue residue (I think) on the reverse, and a lot of heavy contact marks. Not worth sending it in.

Very worn, damaged Morgan and Peace dollars like yours from common years are often called cull. They don't have much collector value, but many people like them for silver stacking. They currently sell in the range of $25-$35 at coin stores in my area. Back in 2016-2017 I bought a hundred of them for $16 each. Wish I had bought more.

Seems like cull. Celebrate it's 100th birthday this year! Let it do so loosely, enjoying the air.

Please explain to us what do you see in this common date circulated coin that makes it merit to be graded?

not sure why new folks seem to have the need to slab everything. this coin is in rough shape with virtually no collector value. in fact since its a common coin it wouldnt even make a place-holder. slabbing would cost more than the coin is worth. i'll give you credit at least you posted it here before wasting your $$

You could carry it around for a few months as a pocket piece. The appearance might gradually improve and you can have fun showing it to people. Point out that American money used to be valued for the precious metal content!
