I saw an uncirculated roll of 1955D Lincoln RPMs advertised on ebay. The pictures were too small to see which RPM they might have been but I took a chance on it. Turns out 39 of them appear to be RPM-004, I couldn't match any markers but the RPM looks right. The other 11 are all the same and appear to be a rotated RPM, I couldn't match it to anything.

Excellent finds and great pics! I'm a little confused on the stage but between polishings and some of the listed examples not being in the nice condition of yours, I'm not surprised. Are you going to post the rotated RPM? Can we see, can we see!

@-makecents-, I had already taken pics of the other coin with RPM (rotated) but was debating on whether or not to post. Thanks for your interest, I just posted this coin in a new thread.

Your D is clear RPM. Do not look in the site for markers. Is complete non sense. They have one who come from a dies of what stage and analyzed and put markers. This do not mean all those RPM's has same markers, for me this is crazy. the die age during the strikes, and can produce markers. Do mean all those RPM same must has same markers?!!!!? NO.

You have the RPM in one of the early stage of the strikes with this die. Signs are there and is no consensus for more. Maybe someone will say I do not see, etc. This is just "Blowing in the wind" to protect a site which is out passed.

Markers are handy to ID a certain die stage:

RPM-002, not 004.

Thanks COOP to clarify this.

IMO here we have a new RPM. The angle, position of the MM do not fit with no know RPM at this moment.

I will like to have some shims on this.

@MAKE: what is "silliness" ? or what synonym you refer of? :absurdity, folly, foolery, foolishness, idiocy, imbecility, insanity, lunacy, madness, nonsense, preposterousness, senselessness, tomfoolery, zaniness. Informal: craziness. Not to say that "silliness" represent failure to act as a rational being especially by ridiculous behavior.

Sorry I do not think that we have to use those words here in open forum.

@sil.... Sometimes, I'm just at a loss for words and silliness was the best I could come up with. I really did not feel this was an improper word, for any forum. Sorry it bothers you.
