Hello.the following pictures are from my 1966 Quarter which looks like it's a DD error coin. The photos may not do it justice. The A & M have some type of raised error or flaw. I haven't seen this on any coins online so far. There is also a raised area next to M in UNUM. Any thoughts or opinions on the coin are welcome.

What your looking at is small die cracks. It's exactly what it sounds like. Gives a bit more value but nothing to call home about. Not worth having it graded. Keep it if you collect error coins.

@mo, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is a nice die crack on AM. Also, your last pic is of a damaged nickel. Most often this happens when people use the same file name for different pictures. You need to give each of your digital pictures a unique file name.

I'm seeing a well-worn quarter with a die crack and what appears to be a small reeding hit. Not a doubled die.

Behind the AM might be a die crack or a die gouge,no added value.
By UNEM looks like Reed Marks from another reeded edge coin,PSD with no added value.
The quarter is not a doubled die.
The nickel is PMD.One coin per thread please.Looks like you also need to filter your light source so there is less glare.

I agree with John1. The coin is in such bad shape I do not think it is worth more than a nickel.

For a quarter? It is worth 25 cents. Die cracks are die events. Once a die crack appears, all the coins struck with the die is going to have the same common die crack until the die is retired. (the die crack can enlarge into a new die event, like a Die Cud, it the crack flows from rim to rim) But just a common event. (New ones like these, but I prefer earlier die states without issues. The win the beauty contest for me see a fresher die state coin)
