My expert friends - attached are photographs of a1969S proof coin. May be a bit blurry as it is still in the coin set casing. If the S a double die.. I photographed it straight up and upside down. I looked at a 1968S proof and it is nothing like this. Please advise

The staff should have told you no photos of monitor screens please...thanks. Also,looks like you need to filter your light source to cut down on the light glare.

it is not a monitor screen. That is the edge of my microscope sceen that you see

Monitor screen, microscope screen,
same difference, they are both pixilated.

may I ask, how do you share a close up photo if you are not photographing the microscope screen? Just curious

get your image from the scope, transfer it to a micro SD card and move the image to your pc and upload it that way.

It can't be a doubled die on the mint mark because they were added to the working die by hand punch until about 1990.

However, there 3 known RPM's for the proof coins issued that year. Unfortunately, the pictures you've uploaded make it really difficult to tell if it's one of those three.

Take a look at Variety Vista to see if what you can see with the coin in hand matches any of those three and let us know.

If your microscope will plug directly into your computer, you could also just take a screenshot. A camera will always introduce interference lines (rasters) into a picture of a screen. The rasters hide important details.
