I was go through a roll of quarters and came across a 2022 Sally Ride D Quarter that had real nicely polished look to it. I want to say it was Proof Like. Has anyone else come across one of these quarters? What would it be worth? I've uploaded the best images I could take with the phone camera at slightly different angles. Let me know what you think. Thanks

I see a hit on Washingtons cheekbone. Make sure to flatten those staples so you don't damage other 2x2's when you stack them. Also, always best to take photos without a holder.I personally don't consider that a PL. John1

Not a PL, it is only the S mm that produced Proof Likes, yours is a uncirculated business strike. Worth 25 cents.

The 'D' mintmark shows it is a business strike coin. Not a proof. Proof Quarter:

Yes John1 you are correct and the point I'm trying to make when you say some business strikes have a Proof Like finish but are not proofs. Also, the "hit" on the cheekbone was there when it came out of roll.

The difference? The business strike coins are only struck once. The proofs are struck twice. Thus the devices are stronger and the devices are showing the cameo affect on them. That is the differences. Note the images above. CoopHome: What is the difference between proof like and a proof strike coin? details stronger on a proof coin and showing a cameo

to the CCF Nice quarter. The first strikes on new dies usually are the better condition coins. But you have to remember there are thousands of them out there.

very nice quarter - proof-like? hard to tell with the coin in the 2x2, the tight cello film can make it look better than it otherwise should. Speaking of the 2x2 - before you store this (or any other 2x2) flatten to staples down so you won't scratch other coins.
