I'm new to this so please expect the worst till I get better acquainted with terminology, and the such, but on the reverse of this 64, is this an error on the top , left hand side of the memorial? Thanks in advance for any eye openers on this.

@bri, with the metal smeared around, that looks like a gouge to me—not a mint error.

Coin damage, not a die event. Note the metal movement like a wave. That is a clue that this is damage to the coin, not a die issue. If it were a die issue, then it would be raised, not incuse on the design of the coin. Part of the 99% Post Strike Damage issue with coins.
