1983 D DD Nickel? Thoughts? - Coin Community Forum

It looks to be a double die on the word "TRUST" especially the "S" and "T". also the date looks odd at the top. Let me know what you think. Thanks :) Report this Post to the Staff

( DDD on obverse nickels didn't start till after 2005) But I would save this to show to a new collector what extreme die wear looks like. A show and tell Item. Keep these in a half dollar tube for quick referencing for a new collector. You maybe be starting a new collector to learn even more and get them addicted like everyone else here.
