So getting back into things after a couple of years and after going through my collection it has areas that are dangerously close to being a hoard. Decided to trim down some of the fat and sell off things I don't want to focus on anymore. The selling section.... isn't what I remember it being. I bought a number of things from the forum before. Now there isn't much. Most of what I have is all non-U.S. coins and tokens. So kind of black sheep to most people. Are there better places to sell? Not looking at ebay much as I don't want to deal with them. The numista forums do not allow selling any more. Is ecrater worthwhile? What about delcampe? Where have people moved to for selling extras from their collections? Any comments about the current lay of the land would be helpful.

Perhaps job lots of coins at public auction?
Have a LCS sell on consignment? That means that the LCS does not buy them, but charges a commission to sell them for you.

Have you attempted to value the material you want to sell?

You can try setting up at a local coin show.

I'd opt for ebay, although I do undertstand your concern. I've traded on ebay (at a modest level) for years with no issues. Would you describe your 'lot' as 'average mixed', or are there high value items included? World/foreign mixed lots are selling briskly--$10-12 per pound, higher ir uncommon examples are included.

They are all mostly higher value items, lowest is about $100 and the highest is about $5,000. I generally know the value of them, but I expect some fluctuations from the last year or two.
We don't have a local coin club and there isn't much in the way of local coin stores. I am in the United States so foreign coins are not as popular.
Facebook specially says no selling of currency and your account will get flagged. Not that it matters much as I don't have any social media. The selling section used to be more used here, but I guess I'll post what I have and see if any one wants it.
The landscape has changed when I put the hobby on pause, now I am not sure where things went.

I would still recommend ebay to you. There you can find buyers all over the world. Moreover, you say that you have world coins that are not so popular in the USA.

I'd put together a list here and see if anyone is interested.

Quote: Facebook specially says no selling of currency and your account will get flagged. Not true, unless they are speaking of currently circulating dollar bills. There are hundreds, if not thousands of Facebook sites selling coins.
