I can clearly see that this coin is a bit off eh? But I don't yet know the error type or name or if there is value either added or deducted. Any help would be great. I would love to be able to name the same type of error, later and with the info learned right here! Thanks in advance!

@dime, if you are talking about the textured fields, these flow lines are a result of this coin being struck from a die that was near the end of its useful life.

very overworked die, too common on nickels around that year

It's sometimes referred to as orange peel and found on nickels in the early 80s. I pulled a number from circulation back in the day. As previously stated, they are due to overused dies.

Just extreme die wear. The dies could be polished again to remove this or retired. I've seen examples with a lot more weakening of the devices. So I know they do polish them even at this point of the dies life.

Note on this die, they rescued it to be used one more time around. Note how the devices are distorted so much more when this happens. So it was up to them to make the call on the OP's dies on that die pair.
