Quote: nope, this one has not been, nor do I think it will be a subscription item The OP seems to be quoting an article from the Mint, a press release. The press release is saying that the LESPS will be available on subscription starting next year, not this year. But still, I would think it would be on the site now. Possibly to avoid confusion, they will add it to the subscription list at some point after the 2023 release. I have thought it was pretty odd they didn't have this on subscription, since it's an annual release. The congrats set I can sort of understand, although I wish they would have it on subscription as well.

Quote:I wonder why the Mint does not make a silver version of the Native American dollar for inclusion in this set. My take would be that the Mint can't just make any coin it wants to out of silver. There are laws regulating this. They probably have some sort of long standing permission to make the silver coins in that set that used to be 90% (now made out of .999). They seem to be able to get away with making gold coins without Congressional approval, such as the Centennial coins they made a few years ago. But silver seems to be a different beast. That's why (and people complain about this a lot) you see the silver Liberty Program done as medals, not coins. The gold can be coins, the silver are medals, because our Congress would actually have to "do something" to make the silver ones coins.

I'll be watching for them to go into the subscription program. I have them all, including the one that never existed ;-), so why stop now? Luckily I have order day off work already, so not anticipating a problem getting one. I don't think they'll sell out immediately.

I work 6 on/2 off, I just happen to have the day off already. I also "have people" who've helped me out on order days when I couldn't order for myself. All over in about 7 months#128527;

I've changed my mind on buying a Limited Edition Silver Proof Set 2023 for $220 when they go on sale Tuesday. I bought one last year, but now I see them for as little as $190 on the bay.
