Hello everyone!I am curious on your opinions on a few coins of mine, whether I should have them graded by a professional or not. I've had a minor collecting of coins but I've never actually had one graded personally cause most dont seem worth paying the price for it. I feel like these two of my coins might be an exception though. Its hard to get any solid answers by trying to research online cause it changes on every site. I also don't have any local place I can just take them to get graded either. I'd appreciate any info you might have in regards to this. I will also add a few photos I have of the coins front and back incase you would like to give a grade personally. Hope I'm posting this right and in correct spot but I'm new so apologies if I'm not.

Even though I mentioned in subject already, Ill mention the coins here again too.

1.1944-S zinc steel plated Lincoln Penny
2. 1891-S Morgan silver dollar

Only looking for legit info regarding these please.

Looking forward to photos of the Morgan dollar.

Is the Lincoln Cent magnetic? What is the weight?

Here's some info on the 1944-S steel Lincoln Cent: https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...-steel/82731

Two are known to exist and they are accounted for. I can only say yours has a questionable looking mintmark. It would be the third known example and worth $100,000+ if authentic.

I have a bunch of the steel 1943's as well but I'm pretty sure those aren't very uncommon. I just know my grandpa was super confident he had something valuable and so far the stamps he thought were, are not. I will definitely check if magnetic and weight tomorrow. Havent done that yet, didnt think about doing that

see if you can get a better closer photo of the MM. too much glare so dont use any overhead light. best is indirect lighting maybe a window sill on a cloudy day would help, if you are using a phone try holding it about 3" above the coin until its in focus then zoom in using your fingers. you may need to place books or something on either side of it to lay the phone over it in order to not move the phone while you are zooming.

you did not post a photo of the 91S morgan

The mm is in the wrong location for a genuine 1944S steel cent.
It has either been plated or it is a counterfeit.
Rest in Peace

Well we can all agree that it is not a plated 1944-S copper cent . I'm not sure where the MM should be on a genuine 44-S steel cent . But dar gonit the coin sure looks good to me . Need weight and magnet test .

Location of mm on a genuine 1944S steel cent.
Note it is a different style and lower when compared to the OP's coin

Pictures too weak to tell much - could be photoshopped even.

Agree with BH/Jimmy above.
