Is this a lamination error? Any value to a dime like this?

That is odd to find on a silver dime, but I don't think that it is damage.

I did some work to enlarge and sharpen elohim80's picture with Photoshop. Hope this helps.

Interesting lamination.

Any value in it beyond the silver content?

Yes, lamination issue. I've seen a few on silver dimes, but not to this extent. Nice.

A crazed lamination issue collector might pay a few bucks above silver content.

I would save this coin in a 2x2--seems like it might have a little value beyond silver content.

Nice lamination find - unusual to see this extent on a silver coin.

Looks like a nice lam to me as well. You might want to check ebay's SOLD listings to see if you can find a comparable dime to get a rough ideal as to value.
