Sorry, nevermind. 1st time looking at the shield cents under the microscope. Just realized it's on others. Odd design flaw almost looks like a true DDR.

Jdcag5775,
When you think you found a DDO or a DDR you need to check all three reference sites we all need to check. If you find a match add the attribution number to your post,if you do not find a match then post a couple photos and tell us where you are seeing doubling so we can assist you in determining what if anything you might have. An easy way to get immediate answers as to whether you have a doubled die, RPM, or OMM. Find them all listed here:
www.varietyvista.com

Scroll down, find the e-book for the coin you are looking for and take the links.

If yours is not listed then you probably have non-collectable doubling such as Machine Doubling or Die Deterioration Doubling (search these topics on this forum and at error-ref.com).

Not all DDOs, DDRs, errors and varieties are listed on VarietyVista. Also, with newer coins, not all have been found or registered.

And, John1, I did post pictures and a clear one of the possible doubling. The doubling in question is the Corner of the ONE CENT scroll curl. It's clear in the third picture.

If it was registered in VarietyVista or others, I wouldn't be asking about it. I have 30+ years experience with Numismatics, not a newb.

I'm second guessing my "Never mind," though. I'm seeing it prominently on a couple cents and not seeing it on others. Which would be the flaw?
