1948 S 1 Cent Repunched Mint Mark / RPM -001, S/S East

jfeed Pillar of the Community United States 1260 Posts	Posted 12/04/2022 9:00 pm I've had this 1948 S LMC in a 2X2 for several years and just getting around to looking more closely at it. I waited to post until I was 99.9 % sure it was a RPM. Vista shows it with markers as RPM-001, s/s east, stage A. It's a beautiful coin that I would grade BU. All of the above is my opinion only. .Did I get it right this time? Thanks for your input and comments. Report this Post to the Staff

lawest Pillar of the Community United States 1998 Posts	Posted 12/05/2022 5:11 pm A possibility is Wexler's 1948-S 1¢ WRPM-011, check the marker descriptions for the different obverse and reverse stages (maybe stage C?) here: http://doubleddie.com/1655179.html The mint mark position looks like it might be correct but I can't make out any markers. It looks like Coneca RPM-003 0r RPM-004. Even Wexler WRPM-008. I do, however, appreciate and respect your knowledge. I'll keep looking and reading and maybe someday I'll get it right.
