Very tempted to hit the buy button on this. What do think the grade is? Seller saying DMPL and Cameo like. My guess is MS63 PL. Thanks! *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. *** *** Edited by Staff to Add Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

62 to 63 PL. The face and the neck seem to have been in a real cat fight!

Look like an ms62 PL obverse and ms64 + PL reverse. I'd net to 63PL

Pretty heavy hits on the cheek, I'd say MS-62. Not convinced both sides make PL based on these pics.

This seller actually lists this coin as: 1884-cc Morgan dollar Gem Unc. PL/DMPL MS ++. Ask yourself why would someone sell a $900 - $2000 coin for 384.84 OBO. If you think you are getting a coin even remotely close to his listing you are very naïve and foolish. You keep repeating your behavior and expecting different results By the way the same seller also has another 1884-cc NGC 61 for sale for $384.84 OBO that he describes as: "Gem MS ++ Cartwheel Blazer Wow". Your thinking is not logical ,analytical or well thought out. These are observations from your posts. Everyone here wants you to get good value for your money and they have given you some good advice. Just slow down. There will always be coins to purchase.

I absolutely did not think that. I guessed 63 PL, which sell for roughly the price he is asking. He offered $337 which was tempting.

Keep swinging for the fences as you are never going to take anyone's advice and will end up being just another "burned novice collector" one who spent thousands on coins and too little on numismatic books and knowledge . Seen it over and over and over again in my 45 years of being a coin dealer ! Good luck in your Willy Nelly coin adventures! Last ever advice ..slow down before you get eaten alive by the COIN SHARKS .

It has never been more obvious that the OP is seeking attention just like a child would.
Giving them any sort of response enables this behavior, and this will be my last response to any of their posts no matter how hard they try to garner attention at any and all costs.
You realize when you know how to think, it empowers you far beyond those who know only what to think.

I like the coin and most likely the fields have semi proof like mirrors. The coin should be an attractive example at MS62/63. The price is fair at $337, but do not expect the example to be PL or DMPL. One area of concern is the circle spot on reverse next to lower wing as it could be a cleaned area. If you are serious about collecting PL or DMPL Morgan's, the mirrors can not be graded properly from still photos. I highly recommend that you do not buy raw coins expecting to get PL and DMPL examples. There is also a learning curve in buying PL and DMPL coins in TPG holders as the standards changed over the years. A lot of collectors of PL and DMPL Morgan's target MS64 and higher because the mirrors highlight the marks on the coin.

$337 for a raw 62-63 84CC is steep. You can buy an NGC-slabbed 84CC in its GSA OGP graded MS63 for less than $375, and if you get lucky on an auction, less than $300.
Raw 62-maybe 63 with no GSA, I'd put OP's coin around $200-$250 with it in hand if it's not a dog.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad 84CC by any means, just not at $337. I've seen much worse for far more.
PL can be easily faked by contrast and brightness manipulation.
