I have what seems to be a penny from the future. Ive never seen a penny like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know the penny isn't in the best of conditions. I'm not really a penny "colector" per'se. I'm more of a penny hunter. So my knowledge is pretty limited.   Edited by Killgore187666

Just coincidental damage, plating issues and zinc rot, on an otherwise normal 2008 D cent.

The "6" and "0" seem to not match notice the top point of the "6" and the gap between the swirl if the line were to continue it wouldn't meet to make a normal "0"

Without a large, clear, close-in pic of the date, I'd say were looking at post-strike circulation damage.

It looks like a parking lot find, notice several dings and scratches with coincidental metal movement on the date's digits. Just a damaged coin..  Edited by Chase007

I think it is from the future. That is why it is so beat up, it has been through a lot.
