I found this 1942 D Jefferson nickel, would this be an an RPM? I tried to get as clear pics as I could. Thank you so much for your help!

I'm not an expert by any means but thought the mint mark on the War Nickel's was over the top of the dome not too the right.

They minted both types.
Did you check for an attribution number? I can't tell much with the photo.

I'm not seeing an RPM either.
Where are you seeing the secondary MM. (Notched serifs, Vertical bar, north, south, etc)?
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I know its hard to see in the pics but the right side of the D has a notch that looks like it might have been punched twice

Hard to tell on a beat up coin if it was a die issue, coin coin damaged issue. If trying to match it up to a certain die, remember the location of the mintmark is critical. If they are different, then they are not from that die.
