Just die chips. A Cud has to involve the rim.

Die chips, as stated above, sometimes referred to as "bugs", when they are in the wheat.

Cuds involve the rim area/outer edge of the die:
1955-DD-W/-Reverse-Cud?
The reverse is showing die chips and when they get larger, they are called die breaks. But a Die Cud is a totally different thing.
