My eyes started to cross VAM searching some Morgan's so I decided to delve out of my comfort zone - The Newfoundland Album. I have a complete set of Newfoundland coins in a Library of coins album. Trying to find out if any are worth pulling and sending to get graded. (Coin worth would need to be around $400+)
I'm having trouble finding where to look for old Canadian Newfies. Is there a good site or book I'm missing, like the Red Book of Canada? Unfortunately, I do believe most of the coins have been cleaned, a sign of the times when it was put together I think.
Let me know what you this about this 1899 Hooked 99 20 cent Newfie

I'll say VG/F details (cleaned).

You can get a copy of the Charlton catalogue (Vol1 for circulated coins)or the Haxby Canadian coin book with Whitman that I much more prefer, that also has tokens in it. The CCF price section on the Coinsandcanada site also has their "retail" prices (or wishful prices)for all denominations and a pretty complete unofficial variety section for each denom. I'd agree with F-12 and heavily cleaned.

Love the Newfoundland coins - a nice, defined set with some intriguing rarities. You might also have a look at the Coins and Canada site: https://www.coinsandcanada.com/index.php

In terms of the coins you've posted here, agreed VG details. The hooked 9s is a rare-ish coin; PCGS has graded 14 of them and none of them are mint state.

Obviously cleaned at some point but I don't know if the Details designation is required.

F-12, cleaned.
