Any-Idea-What-This-Coin-Is?

It's very thick, at least double or triple the thickness you'd expect. I am new to learning about coins and this was in a small collection inherited from a deceased uncle so we have no idea where he got it. The back is almost entirely worn away but it kind of looks like there was a 3 on it at one time. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thx!

These Lion and sun coins were issued in commonly in Iran and occasionally in Afghanistan. The mintname to enable exact identification is on the other side.
