If I were you I would get one or two of them on ebay before others do. That one sold for $70!

There may be bunches of these out there, if it could happen with a working hub, as opposed to a working die.

I'm with Coinhi about getting one to Mike Diamond for him to assess and write it up.
You'll need to turn on your Email to reach him.

ComeHonor716, you need to activate your e-mail permission. You can also e-mail me through this group. Can you tell if your sample of coins includes more than one die pair? If so, it may be that there was an attempt to alter the master hub through a computer-aided design program. A software bug or misapplication of the software can result in a misplaced initial. If you're unable to determine whether one or more die pairs is represented, you can send me several examples and I can examine them under my microscope for telltale die markers.

It's hard to identify subtle die markers without a microscope. I'll do my best.

Mike, I had a few people in a Facebook group... One said they had seen this before, another said it's a "PCGS recognized error."
I've been pressuring them both for evidence of their claims.... surprise, surprise, for 3 days nothing but crickets.
I can't find a single 2023 cent in the Pop Reports at all.

I've been looking at these images again and the extra "V" seems to be raised. The light seems to be reflecting off the "V" differently than the incuse VDB initials.
It will be interesting to see Mike's analysis.

Mike Diamond, the specimens are in the mail via first class. Says it'll be there Monday. Look forward to your analysis.
