I've had this double dime for a short time, thought I'd share it. The reverse has great mirror finish in the fields, not so much on the obverse. Based on condition, thinking this might be a proof. Thoughts?    Thanks for looking.

Does seem to have the sharp strike expected for a proof. Whether or not it's a proof, I'd try submitting it to PCGS if it were mine.

I'm not seeing much under that toning. I have to agree everyone
PF64 and a really good shot at PF65. I think the lighting here is creating too much glare to show what the actual coin looks like in hand.
if you feel up to it i'd like to see her without any overhead lighting to get a more natural look to compare to. I think the reverse photos are fine. I was just trying to see light marks and scratches which would make a difference in grade. in any case she is a nice coin. congrats! this is one that will just keep going up in price. the coin shows a total mintage of 2,790

Thanks for the feedback! I did not buy this as a proof, it was listed as a straight up 1875 Twenty Cent Piece. I'll try to get some shots in more natural light, that is, if the sun ever comes out

I don't think it is proof. I'm thinking it is somewhere around MS63. Nice coin, no matter what it grades!

still cant tell if its a business or proof strike. in any case I think it would be around a 63 grade
the last obv photo is quite dull. there is a possibility than it would come back UNC (details) cleaned. this is a tough one using photos. I would love to see it in hand

I also dont think its a proof but a gorgeous coin either way
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?
