Hello,

I came across these items recently and I was wondering if anyone here has any idea on what exactly they are? Please let me know your thoughts on the matter. I personally thought that they may be calibration rings for inside of the collar between die's to look for collar expansion and thus are pieces of maintenance equipment for the production of coins but this is just a guess.

Wondering if it is some sort of guide related to holed coins such as the 5 and 10 kroner coins from Norway or Denmark?

I would say that it's a pattern of some sort as well.

Very interesting. I wouldn't mind having a few of those.

Just because they are round does not mean that they have anything to do with coins.

What is the evidence that they are related to coinage production?

I think the 5 kr and 10 kr were assumed to be Kroner.

But indeed, this could be "ladder of inference" thinking.

No dimensions have been provided, no links to any holed coins with these denominations.

I can find a 5 Kr for Denmark, but not a holed 10 Kr for either place (of course, my serching skills are sometimes lacking)
