This is Die Deterioration, Notice how the devices are trending towards the rim. And speaking of the rim - it look like a Ridge Ring has formed also. Sorry, I do not see a DDO here

I see the Die Deterioration. But also notice the serif or spread in the bottom right corner of the 1 and top of the B in Liberty bottom left of the R in liberty. underneat right of G in God. Also some others.

I've figured it out it is CC VLDS #003 and #003 Wexler. It has the die crack on the "T" on the reverse. Very light marker on the top of the hair under the "E" in WE and crack through the hair.

What is your photo taking set up? I see a worn die issue, some call it a poor man's doubled die. It is not a true doubled die. John1

Agree with the Die Deterioration assessment. I hold onto distinct '55 Poor Man's Doubled Die examples. This has their appearance. What does the reverse look like? In many instances, there are die chips.

I will get you the die marker pictures later this evening after work. The wexler pictures with a side by side on the "BE"in LIBERTY match best on the separation. Normally, I would agree with you guys, but this coin I believe is just "very late die state" VLDS.

If you look at the LDS version in CC. The "55" in 1955 has the same look (DD) to them as my version. Mine is just slightly more advanced.

I took a picture of my monitor of my digital microscope, which is why it looks grainy, and distorted. I will use the microscope camera and get new original pics with the right lighting. Wexler-1955p WDDO-003, AND CC- also 003

Does not look like 003 to me. When taking photos take them the exact same way, they are presented on the reference site. Also, best not to post photos of scope screens, use a memory card in the scope. John1

Does anyone have an example of the die crack on the lower left of the wheat kernels as stated on Wexler. I haven't seen that picture yet.
