I've most definitely tried searching for the name of this. Is this just Ridge Ring. I couldn't find an example like mine. The tops of the letters are super deep and it only affects the top obv and lower rev.

I just want to know what's going on.
Thanks

That does seem to be an area where the dies wear out. My vote is for this being Ridge Ring. Also, for completeness, can you please tell us the date and mint for this cent? Thx.

A Ridge Ring caused by Die Deterioration.
In the future, please include a photo of the complete coin.
We don't even know what year that is which can sometimes be important.

You have a neat later state die examples as others have posted. I'd love to see a picture of the full coin.

Some more pics. Just weird how it only affects the top of obv and bottom of rev. Is there a scenario where a die is not flush and the top is making contact first or with more pressure?
