Pics are fine--considering the inclusion of the full obvers and reverse.
Very curious features--particularly (but not limited to) the area around the date. Hoping others will offer opinions.

There have been a few examples of this, that were first thought to be die trails but was later decided to be a very late stage struck through a die cap. Here is a link from traildies.com but as I've said, they are not trails, just some nice examples and an explanation. Scroll to the bottom of the link. https://www.traildies.com/trail-die-oddities/

Looks like a struck through a very thinned die cap. Looks like this die cap was not removed and eventually fell off on its own.

Struck through a very late capped die. Probably close to the last strike with this cap.

So it's not post mint damage? It would be pretty cool if it wasn't

Die caps are not PMD, they are when the cap isn't removed from the die before striking begins. Strike throughs are not PMD either.

Struck through die cap is when a coin after the strike instead of ejecting, sticks to a die. Then the next coin is struck through the stuck coin. It will continue striking coins till it falls off, or removed. Every strike after the cap will show more detail until the cap is so thin that you get one that looks like this one, almost fully struck up. And no, there is no cap that they take off before starting.

No, this is not PMD as it occurred during the striking process. I think that this is a nice example of a thinned die cap. - nice find.

Refer to the two links I left. They look almost identical to what you have. Read.
