I finally added the 1928 "Double-Star" note to my collection. Took me a while to track one down but it was definitely worth it.

The Series of 1928 was the first issue of small-size currency printed and released by the U.S. government and were the first standardized notes in terms of design and characteristics, featuring similar portraits and other facets.

Since this was the first year of replacement banknotes, (commonly referred to as a star note) they initially printed the notes with a Star at the beginning and the end of the serial number identifying it as a replacement for an error note and were first released to the public on April 1st 1928

They said I was a fool to dream, but I think it's safe to say this is now the Star of my collection :)

It had me going for a while.
A Double Star note is definitely missing from my collection.
BUT
The "VERY FAKE" note on the certificate (thanks, John1) got me to looking further.
Then I really caught on when I saw the "SERIES OF APRIL 1" by the "Secretary of the Treasury" signature in the lower right quadrant.
