Here's an 1868 Indian cent that came in a lot of Indian Head cents that I won recently. With that said, I am not certain that this coin is genuine. I wanted to get everyone else's thoughts.

Authentic, XF Details due to corrosion on the obverse from "STATES" and across the face and head dress. The reverse looks pretty nice.

Hmm, I say fake. The 8's in the date look bad and I don't think the 1 and 8 should be touching like that.

Has to be a fake since it has a "Bold N" reverse. All genuine 1868 cents have a "Shallow N" reverse.

Frog calls it! In addition the obverse is grainy, mushy details and the denticles have issues. Put me in the fake crowd.

Maybe it's a remarkable coincidence but all three of your coins have the same flat spot in the rim above the shield transitioning into a Rim Fin. Show us another coin from the lot you purchased.

After what others with more knowledge about the series have said, I can now agree that the coin(s) are counterfeit.
