What do you think, is there a door frame about 1/3 the way up between columns 1 & 2 and between columns 7 & 8? Thanks.

I do not see doors. Horizontal, plating ? or die crack? Hard for me to see.

Not new doors, these features could be one of 2 things, a plating bubble, or possibly a die gouge/dent.

I'm thinking a die dent/ding.

The coin scratch pretty much cancels this coin. (spender when you see damage on a coin) That bay could be showing a bubble under the plating on this coin. If so, then it will flatten with a toothpick. (Same on bay 1 on the left side of the design)

Doesn't appear to be a scratch, seems like struck through either wire or a very narrow rim burr. No metal has been displaced, and it is reaching all the way into the recesses of the bays of the memorial building. Still, not gonna be worth much if anything with the corrosion damage to both sides.

I'm with Sam, on the struck through. Where it transitions to the field from the column There is no 'skip' as you would expect from something scraping along the high points. (and the lack of a metal 'wave' on either side of it.)
