Looking at the fields, being of no flow lines, tells me the die was freshly polished. Probably after this happened, the die shattered on the Cud area, and the die would be retired. So it is a nice example. You might check to see if it is listed or not. It is a great example. Finally a happy mail day for you! The obverse dark spots look like carbon spots. So don't try to remove these. They are into the planchet and anything done, will advance the spotting issue and make it accelerated. So leave this coin as it is.

So glad that it finally found you! Question: will you now change your CCF username to CoinAZ?

Nifty coin. I don't know about values for Cuds but that one is big enough to catch the eye. The carbon spots are a downer.

Quote: Question: will you now change your CCF username to CoinAZ? Ha! yes, I did think of that option but may just stick with CoinHI. The name also represents the feeling of finding a great coin and the rush it brings. Thanks for comments on this Cud!

That's a nice feeling to have a Cud this nice show up after giving up on it. Question: Is there any design transfer on or above "D STATES OF A". (It looks like there are some raised areas but it might just be circulation)
