I had found this penny and I believe it's a Strike through error. Still new at this so I HOPE I'm using the right term. Any help is Greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

It looks like somebody took some took or punches and stamped them into this cent.
Some may just call it a counterstamped cent
Some others will just call it damaged.

It's not stamped though and wouldn't thete be Some type of tool marks on it it it was punched in?

Fixed the title.

@penn, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes those deep impressions were made after the coin left the mint. Typically, there will be corresponding flat spots on the other side of the coin. Can you please post a picture of the reverse of this cent? Thx.

Threads merged so that we can maintain a single thread per coin. I've also fixed the reverse photo so that it can be seen and moved the obverse photo off of @dear's post.

@penn, as I mentioned upthread, you can see flattened areas on the reverse corresponding to the gouges on the obverse. This coin has been damaged—those aren't mint errors.

Yes, as Spence mentions, the small bulges on the reverse are a direct result from the tool marks on the obverse.

When you see a divot on one side and a corresponding bulge on the other side, it's damage.
