This is a purty one, the images supplied are pretty much how it looks in hand unless your browser colors are off. I only have a handful of Lincolns that I intend to hang onto. This is probably one of them. I wonder what this might grade. Thank you! Lid is on this image so the scratches are on the 2x2. Edited by TNG 03/20/2009 5:15 pm

It's really intersting how the different camera angles show different things. If you had posted only the third picture, folks would come back saying a lower grade. But the angled pictures show the fields to be really nice and clean.
I don't have enough knowledge to grade high MS coins like this. At least MS63, probably 65-66 I'd guess.
That's a keeper for sure!

I'm just learning Lincolns, so I'll be looking for opinions following mine. This is a nice one by any standard; the only mark on either face which draws the eye is the one under LIBERTY. MS-65.

My first guess from the pics was MS64RD. After further review, the strike quality could help it into an MS65 holder. The major TPG are being really tough on Lincolns and a 65 would be a fair grade but either way it's a great coin.

I was looking at the strike as well. It is huge. Not to mention the superb luster still remaining. A 65RD grade is a definite possibility. I was just seeing some minute contact marks here and there that PCGS would probably knock down a grade.

Quote: Wheezy, what are you doing with Lincolns, you Jefferson person you? lol I have some but not many, I have had some turn spotty on me and that drives me nuts. This one might be safe since it's 100 years old though. I have taken most of the pictures of the rest last night, I will get them up in this album eventually. Probably within a few days. http://www.coincommunity.org/galler...hp?album=846
